Dear Friends, Colleagues and Family:
As you know, I have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (“IPF”), a form of Interstitial Lung Disease (“ILD”). ILD is a condition which also afflicted my father, so even beyond my own illness, ILD has certainly affected me on many levels throughout my life. What surprised me was the prevalence of ILD and yet how little was known about it. We hope to change that. Additionally, we have established a fund at the University of Pennsylvania known as “The Jeff Bove ILD Research Fund”. In an effort to educate others about this under appreciated disease, we are reaching out to friends and colleagues to provide information and to hopefully meet and surpass our fund raising goal of $25,000.00.
